The article presents the main provisions of the publications issued abroad in 1923 on the occasion of the death of H. Tumanyan, containing a high assessment, an expression of respect and representing an exceptional literary and historical value. Most of the reviews present a multi-aspect analysis and assessment of the poet's creative work, and an attempt was made, having studied his creativity in a new way, to open his own Tumanyan.

The articles published in the foreign press present the human appearance and unsurpassed talent of the pan-Armenian poet, an attempt has been made to give a generalized description of the poet of genius, whose figure is seen as looking upwards at the turn of two centuries. We would like to emphasize that the ideological meaning of all the articles is the same: Tumanyan was the centripetal force of his time, a bearer of the collective memory and psychology of the Armenians, the mouthpiece of the Armenian people.

The purpose of the article is to group and highlight the materials published in the foreign press, which express the uniqueness and originality of Hovhannes Tumanyan as a poet, person and public figure. Comparative, comparative-historical and analytical methods have been used by us during the study of the problem. The article concludes that the foreign publications devoted to Hovhannes Tumanyan and issued after his death, visibly present an indisputable fact that the poet voluntarily or involuntarily found himself at the crossroads of different times and spaces, became a guarantee of spiritual accomplishments and the continuation of the existence of the Armenian people.
