Abstract

During the lifetime of YeghisheCharents, the novel “Land of Nair” was published in Armenian four times: in 1922-24 in the journal "Nork", in 1926 as a separate book, in 1932 as an anthology “Works”, and in 1934 as a separate book again. After the death of YeghisheCharents, the novel was published for the first time in 1955 in the “Selected Works” collection, edited by SoghomonTarontsi, and then in 1966, in the 5th volume of the academic six-volume “Collected Works” edited by AlmastZakaryan. Subsequent editions are reprints of the last. Therefore, in general, the novel underwent revisions during these six editions. The article describes and analyzes the patterns underlying the revisions of the mentioned six editions, the historical-cultural context that could have an impact on those revisions.
