History textbooks and manuals and their visualization media as sources of scientific knowledge formation

Abstract

As a result of the increased differentiated approach to learning and teaching processes, the creation of multi-level textbooks has become a requirement in modern historical education. History textbooks, which are unfortunately becoming increasingly complex, serve as an important tool for learning and teaching. They support learners, teachers, and researchers at all levels of education. The more meaningful and methodologically rich the textbook is, the more effectively students can reproduce and describe historical images and events. This also enhances their ability to quickly orient themselves in presented historical contexts and find reasonable solutions based on their knowledge of the past. In the process of teaching history, modern media technologies greatly contribute to the effective coverage and transmission of the educational content found in textbooks, educational and scientific-methodical manuals, archival materials, maps, and images. They also aid in students' assimilation of this content. However, one should not ignore the subjective factor of teaching, which involves the personalized development of information scenarios and their unique presentation.
