Հայոց պատմության բազմաբնույթ հիմնահարցերի ուսումնասիրության բնագավառում առանձնահատուկ կարևորություն է ներկայացնում հայկական պետականությունների պատմության արժևորումը: Այդ առումով անժխտելի նշանակություն ունի Կիլիկյան Հայաստանի պատմության շուրջ 300-ամյա շրջափուլի հետազոտումը, որը կապված է պատմաքաղաքական ու մշակութային ծավալուն փորձի առկայության հետ:
Հոդվածում փորձ է արվում ներկայացնելու հայոց պետականության պատմության շատ կարևոր մի ժամանակահատվածի՝ Կիլիկյան Հայաստանի պատմության պատմաքաղաքակրթական հիմնախնդիրների վերհանումը և դրանց դասավանդման առանձնահատկությունների կարևորությունը բուհում: Կիլիկյան Հայաստանի պատմական անցյալը մեր պատմության ողբալի դրվագներից չէ, հետևաբար կատարված հետազոտությունը կարող է օգնել ճանաչել պատմական անցյալի տիպաբանական այնպիսի էական իրողություններ, որոնց ազդեցությունը ներկայի վրա ակնհայտ է և անցյալը դարձնում է ավելի հասկանալի:
