Abstract

Summarizing the above analysis, we believe it is necessary to note that the methods, programs, and ideas listed above are insufficient for the comprehensive teaching of Urartian art in art education. In our opinion, it is necessary to develop a special concept that would include a methodology for teaching Urartian art. This is a very serious and responsible process in the field of Armenian studies, which can only be accomplished by knowledgeable specialists in all fields of this period, as well as experienced methodologists.

In this regard, the potential of educational institutions should be utilized, including by establishing museums within them, with the following goals:

  1. To increase students' responsibility for their historical and cultural heritage;
  2. To instill in them the idea that they themselves are bearers, custodians, and popularizers of their historical and cultural heritage;
  3. To instill a love for the outstanding areas of Urartinism – archeology, art history, as well as for the application of accumulated knowledge in artistic creativity (professional), in our case – in design projects.
