Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the "Memoir" (Յուշատետր) essays by editor-in-chief Robert Hattejian, published in Istanbul's Marmara daily and later as separate books, as artistic journalistic reflections on daily and historical events.

This topic is significant because the aesthetic elements of R. Attechian's essays in "Hushatetr" reflect the cognitive origins of the author's intent, an accurate perception of the era, and demonstrate trends in the development of contemporary prose.

In line with this goal, we have examined the formal characteristics of the "Hushatetr" essays, which are defined by their documentary foundation, artistic style, and a combination of historicity and relevance within a diverse range of narrative themes.

Through comparative analysis, we explored the essays published in "Hushatetr" focusing on Armenian literary figures, as well as their public and creative endeavors. We summarized the key content elements, aesthetic principles, and forms of artistic expression of the authors selected by R. Attechian.

Using chronological analysis, the article considers "Hushatetr"-s as a unique form of chronicle that, through creative generalizations, provides an authentic depiction of successive historical periods.

In conclusion, we supplemented the artistic-documentary accounts of literary portraits with R. Attechian's philosophical reflections, which characterize the existential experiences of the human mind.
